We ask that you check out of Scott’s Hotel in Killarney by the customary time of 12:00 PM to begin our eastward journey toward Dublin. Our road trip includes a spectacular historical stop along the way: the iconic Rock of Cashel in County Tipperary. This ancient hilltop fortress, famous as the seat of the Kings of Munster, is a truly magnificent sight and a worthwhile detour on the drive (the total driving time to Dublin via Cashel is approximately 4 to 4.5 hours, plus 1.5 to 2 hours for the visit). Once we've soaked up some history, we will continue to the city center where we'll be checking into The Mont Hotel in Dublin, with check-in available from 4:00 PM. We look forward to meeting up this evening to kick off our final leg of the adventure in the bustling city!
Date: May 3rd Our final day in Ireland begins with checking out of The Mont Hotel in Dublin, with the standard check-out time being 11:00 AM. Depending on your flight time, we recommend leaving the hotel with enough time to arrive at Dublin Airport (DUB) significantly ahead of your departure. For flights within Europe, aim to be at the airport at least 2 hours before departure, and for long-haul or transatlantic flights, plan for a minimum of 3 hours (and some airlines recommend even 4 hours due to US Pre-Clearance procedures if applicable). Getting from The Mont Hotel to Dublin Airport is straightforward: a taxi will take approximately 25 minutes outside of peak traffic and cost around €30-€40, or you can take one of the frequent express coach services like Dublin Express or Aircoach, which take about 30 minutes from a nearby stop. We hope your journey home is smooth and that you've enjoyed your time exploring the Dingle Peninsula and Dublin!
