We met the first week for our freshman year in Bible and the Gospel class (we joke that this is the most Cedarville thing we will ever do lol). We were placed in the same small group for the semester and eventually found ourselves in the same friend group. We were friends for a couple months but a week before Christmas break we started dating.

The proposal was PERFECT! We went to Siesta Key Beach to meet my family for a sunset, little did I know they weren't coming at all. We walked down the beach for a awhile but when we got to the pier, Clay took my hand and got on one knee and asked me to marry him. Naturally, I said YES! There was a photographer there to take our pictures. After we were able to meet my family and some friends for a surprise engagement dinner. The whole night was so personal and simple, I couldn't have asked for a better proposal, ring, or future HUSBAND. - Kayla <3
