Wedding weekend- any other events to know about?

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Walkers landing is on property at the Omni Amelia Island Resort but is not located at the main hotel. Guests will park at the Conference Center and take a short 5 minute shuttle to the venue. All wedding guests will utilize our scheduled Omni Shuttles on the day of the wedding. Guests that are staying at the resort will head to the Conference Center Shuttle Pick Up where the shuttles will take guests to Walkers Landing. No parking is available at Walkers Landing. Shuttles will begin at 4:30 PM and will continuously pick up guests every 15 minutes until 5:00 PM. Transportation will be provided at the end of the night back to your vehicles & the Omni hotel. For guests that are not staying on property, when you arrive at the security gate, you will reference “Carlson & Ruopp Wedding” and then park in the parking garage located off Beach Walker Rd. Then you will head to the Conference Center Shuttle Pick Up where the shuttles will take guests to Walkers Landing. Any guests that are unable to take the shuttles due to injury or need to have their vehicle with them, please contact us for more information.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

The ceremony starts at 5:15 PM. Please plan to arrive early for the Conference Center Shuttle pick-up at the Omni. Shuttles will begin running at 4:30 PM and will continuously pick up guests every 15 minutes until 5:00 PM.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to dress in semi-formal attire. Cocktail or long dresses are welcome. Men may wear suits or dress shirts with slacks. Please no jeans, shorts or casual footwear.

Is it indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour are outdoors. You’ll be walking on packed sand and pine straw, so choose your shoes wisely, and leave the stilettos at home. The reception will be held indoors.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, we will have an open bar for all of our guests to enjoy complimentary drinks throughout the wedding reception. Please bring a valid ID and plan a safe ride back to your hotel if you are not staying on property.

May I bring a plus one/children?

Answer

To ensure we can accommodate all of our guests, only those explicitly named on your invitation are included. Thank you for understanding!
