We met officially on our first day of Physical Therapy school in San Antonio, TX on July, 27th, 2017. In the following months we developed a close friendship through shared projects, study sessions, and intramural softball. Long hours in class and studying ultimately resulted in a few dates and on January 12, 2018 we "made it official" and have been growing together as a couple ever since.

On May 28th, 2021 after three years, many obstacles and achievements faced together we decided on forever. Carl planned the most thoughtful surprise beach proposal, complete with a surprise visit from Kayla's entire family to join in the celebration.
