It was 2004 at Cascade High School in Everett, Washington (Go Bruins!)... Brandon was a junior while Kayla was going into her senior year. Kayla had been Brandon's high school crush (possibly obsession) for his entire sophomore year; Zeka, Matson, Davis and all of his friends would be caught saying "Whited, Kayla Anderson just walked in" every day during lunch period. She had no idea who he was until the beginning of senior year, when after a football game, Kayla's soccer teammate and Brandon's friend Melanie invited Kayla and her best friend Angie over to Brandon's to play ping pong. The rest, as some say, was history. Kayla played hard to get, Brandon tried his hardest...they passed notes, skipped class and everything else high school sweethearts did. The two ended up in Arizona together after high school in 2006. Life, timing and God's plan turned them in different directions. 11 years went by....They both grow into adults and learned so much about life and what they wanted out of it. 2017 @ The Taste of Scottsdale Event... God knew they were ready. They were at the event with their best friends, having a blast and clueless what was about to happen. Walking down the waterfront, Brandon caught a glimpse of one of Kayla's best friends Nicole. He turned around to take another look, when he and Kayla locked eyes...they both knew they were in trouble. They talked for the rest of the night that night...Brandon stumbling and just as nervous as he was in high school, the only thing he could come up with at first was asking if her number was the same and reciting it (still memorized to that day). Neither of them have looked back since, growing their love for each other every day and learning about the person that they have both grown into.

She said yes at the Princess Resort in Scottsdale, surrounded by their closest friends and family.
