For at least 5 years we went to the same small town school and our paths never crossed. Our junior year of high school we met for the first time. Blake insists that a mutual friend introduced us because that is how he met all his girlfriends... Kayla isn't so sure about that! We didn't talk much our junior year of high school but did attended prom together in the same friend group however, with different dates. Our senior year of high school we found our paths colliding again in Mrs. Meyers Senior Law Class. Kayla was convinced Blake was going to take her to prom. At first Blake was not interested... but persistence is key my friends! On April 4th, 2014 we began dating. We attended senior prom together and graduated as a couple from Hastings High School in 2014. Kayla left for Winona State University and Blake continued his education at Dakota County Technical College. We continued our long distance relationship for 4 years throughout college. Blake graduated from DCTC in the spring of 2016. Kayla graduated from Winona State University in the spring of 2018. On June 1st, 2018 we got the surprise of a lifetime. We were expecting and Kayla was offered her first job after graduation all in the same day. On July 23rd, 2018 we bought our first home together in Hastings, MN. On August 13, 2018 we adopted our German Shephard puppy Leo into our little family. On September 30, 2018 we found out we would be welcoming a little boy into our family and on February 19, 2019 Riley Allen Robinson was born. The next year was spent trying to navigate this new life we created together. On August 8, 2020 Blake proposed on the North Shore of Minnesota on Bean Lake in Silver Bay, Minnesota. Now we are anxiously awaiting to celebrate our upcoming marriage on September 19, 2021. To say it has been a whirlwind of a relationship is an understatement but we cannot wait to walk hand in hand into this marriage with our friends and family by our side!
