It all started in the summer of 2018 at Wells Fargo. They were in the same training class, though Austin almost missed his chance - he thought Kayla was an instructor and was too shy to say hi! Luckily, fate (and the seating chart) stepped in and placed them near each other. From there, the sparks were undeniable. They bonded over hobbies, movies, inside jokes, and everything in between. Their "first not-a-date" was dinner at Momiji sushi with their friend Ryan, but Austin soon made it official and asked Kayla out to Gamberetti's in downtown Salem. He was sweet, kind, and adorably nervous - and Kayla couldn't stop smiling. By September 2018, Austin asked Kayla to be his girlfriend, and the rest is history. Now, after countless adventures, laughs, and late-night sushi runs, they can't wait to say I do in July 2026!
