While we would love to provide transportation for everyone, we expect guests will be staying all over the city in the many unique neighborhoods of New Orleans so there will not be organized transportation. We recommend taking Lyft/Uber, or using taxis particularly if downtown. There is also parking around the venue. The street car's red line (Canal St to Carrollton Ave) does drop off very close to the ceremony and is a beautiful ride from downtown, but reliably slow so at least 50-60 mins should be budgeted if using it.
Please see attached instructions from Adam: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/igTcM3vjjHs Anywhere from 2 craws to 3 pounds depending on your preference. The boil will have other ingredients such as potatoes, corn, mushrooms, tortellini, garlic and more.
We have chosen to limit the ceremony and reception to adults-only. We are sorry to not accommodate them and appreciate your understanding.
Get in touch! Adam worked in the French Quarter and downtown for a while bike taxiing and is very familiar with the different hotels options as well as the many other neighborhoods. If you're torn on places, we'll help you decide.
The Pitot House was built as a vacation home in 1799 and named after James Pitot who was an early mayor of the city who lived there. It stayed a vacation home for various families until the catholic church bought it and later donated it to the state landmark society. It is one of the 20 oldest buildings in the city.
