Maid of Honor
Met this girl Freshman week of Freshman year at Howard and we’ve been glued together ever since. Throughout most of undergrad if people saw me without Teneisha it was weird and they would ask me “where’s your other half”. We’ve been through the most but our friendship has become so strong because of it. She’s always been the life of the party and I love that about her personality. Life has taken us in two completely different paths but true friendship doesn’t dissipate with time or distance.

My Addy! Our friendversary is easy. My birthday freshman year at Howard. This girl who literally just met me walked all the way to a house party with me. It took forever before we realized our directionally challenged friend had the wrong address. It made for an amazing night and our first memories as friends. Addy has always been that reliable friend that I can count on for anything. The “mom” of the group who makes sure I never took drinks from strangers but still knows how to duty wine with the best of them.
Bridesmaid
Definitely my longest friendship. We became friends in elementary school. As soon as I saw her come to school in some huuuuuge bell bottoms twice the width of her, I knew we’d be fast friend. Full of style, confidence and loyalty. Years later and she’s still one of my favorite people on this Earth.

I honestly don’t remember when we became so close. Somewhere in the middle of Diversity Club or First Baptist Bridge practice? We’ve done a lot together but the same thing always stuck true. Jacqui has been an amazing friend. She’s always there to listen and even to get you into a little trouble here and there. From Franklin to Howard and beyond.
