Danny and I met at the most magical place on earth, Disney World. I was working as a Disney College Program Intern in Hollywood Studios and Danny was an Inventory Control Clerk and Stocker at the same location. One day, Danny was stocking the churro cart I was working at in front of the Great Movie Ride. After he finished, I said, "Thank you," trying to be friendly. He replied, "It's my job," and I thought to myself, "Wow, what an ass." Within an hour it began to thunder and lightning, causing me to move to a popcorn stand to wait out the storm. Who should enter that same location? Danny. He was friendlier to me because he just barely escaped spending the storm in the company of two older, grumpy ladies. We talked the entire time until the rain let up and we had to go back to work. I went on my lunch break where I was sitting alone, trying to read a book when Danny entered and sat down at my table, interrupting my otherwise quiet lunch. It was a happy interruption.

It was Day 2 of our Barcelona vacation. Kayla and her sister Korinne decided to take pictures out on the balcony of our Airbnb. The balcony had vibrant blue shutters and an amazing street view of the city. Kayla had just put on a cute hat and yellow sweater, and I knew that no other moment I tried to plan would be as good as this one. When they were done taking pictures of one another, I asked Korinne if she could take a photo of me and Kayla. Kayla kept trying to stand on the side where the ring was in my jacket and I had to awkwardly insist that she stayed on the other side. As Korinne snapped the pictures, capturing the moment, I got down on one knee. The rest is history.
