The Story of Us

In our Friends to Lovers era

It's a tale as old as time... girl meets girl, girl befriends girl then they fall in love. Hazel and Kaydence first met as middle school students. After an unfortunate event that led Kaydence to be forced to eat lunch in the cafeteria instead of the library, she found herself at the table of one Ms. Hazel Dean. Hazel was engrossed in a video game (big surprise we know) and Kaydence noticed her Harry Potter necklace. The two struck up a conversation (initiated by Kaydence of course) and before they knew it, it was time to head back to class. After that day, Kaydence stopped eating lunch in the library so she could talk to her new friend. Then 8th grade started. A new year brought together new friends. Kaydence and Hazel and their friends would all gather in the library at Zemmer before first period began. Hazel and Kaydence continued to bond over a mutual love of reading, and would often recommend books to each other. A shared interest that would deepen their bond once a mutual friend suggested the Mortal Insturments by Cassandra Clare, a series they would grow to love and bond over. Finally in May of 2018 after several months of developing feelings, assumed unrequited love, and a game of truth or dare they started dating. They continued to date throughout high school, sharing many firsts; first kisses, first I love yous, first dances. The faced several challenges but persevered through them all. Kaydence Proposed shortly after their high school graduation in August of 2022. But they put of preparations because of Kaydence's education and the fact they were still living separately. When they moved in together in August of 2024 the conversation of wedding planning started again. By May of 2025, they decided they put it off long enough and decided to just do it. And so, after 7 years of friendship and love they decided to tie the knot.
