Our story might seem pretty common nowadays, but to us, it’s unforgettable! We met on a dating app called Bumble, where the girls have to send the first message after you match—and you only have 24 hours to do it. Jalyn reached out to Kayden, and for him, it was an instant “yes.” We talked back and forth for about three weeks before Kayden asked Jalyn out on a date. The moment we met in person, we both had the same thought: I’m going to marry this person. We had so much fun that first date that we only went one day without seeing each other before deciding we wanted to spend more time together. From that second hangout on, we’ve been inseparable—truly, we’ve spent every day together since! On September 30, 2022, Kayden officially asked Jalyn to be his girlfriend. That first year was full of adventures: two Michigan football games, a Red Wings game, a Chicago trip for Kayden’s birthday, Jalyn’s 21st birthday, and even a Tigers game. Just two weeks after her birthday, we found out Jalyn was pregnant. One of the highlights? Kayden surprised Jalyn with tickets to her all-time favorite artist, Morgan Wallen. Year two brought our favorite moment of all—welcoming our beautiful daughter, Kinsley, in December. We wouldn’t change a single thing about this journey. Fast forward to March 18, 2025: Kayden, Jalyn, and Kinsley went to TopGolf in Schaumburg, Illinois, to celebrate Kayden’s birthday for the second year in a row (we really love Schaumburg!). Kayden couldn’t hit a golf ball to save his life that day, and Jalyn wondered why. Then, Kayden asked the server to take a family photo—followed by one of just the two of us. That’s when he got down on one knee and proposed! Of course, Jalyn said yes. The whole place erupted—free dessert, an announcement to everyone, and “Marry Me” by Bruno Mars blasting over the speakers. We have had an amazing story this far and we cannot wait to continue writing our story! 💕
