Let's make this forever.

It was just a normal Saturday night in San Francisco for each of them: Kaycie going out with her girlfriends, and Charlie meeting up with a friend for drinks. Coincidentally, their plans would bring them together at The Parlor in North Beach: part dance club, part martini bar, and all parts NOT where they expected to meet their future spouse! It turns out their friends knew one another and decided Kaycie and Charlie should meet. Kaycie's friend awkwardly nudged them together saying, “Meet Tuna, he’ll buy you a drink.” Not the most glowing endorsement, but she was right; Charlie bought Kaycie a drink…along with a shot of fireball to help break the ice. She thought he was handsome, and he couldn’t get over her eyes. They talked for an hour straight and when it came time for Kaycie to leave, Charlie asked for her number. Kaycie said ‘okay’ but avoided giving it to him and walked outside with her friends — she wanted to make sure he was serious! Charlie didn’t know what to think, but stopped Kaycie before she could hop in a cab, and asked again. Kaycie laughed and this time plugged her number into his phone before hugging Charlie goodnight. Kaycie didn’t think he’d call, but she made a real impression on Charlie. He went home that first night and wrote down notes on everything he could remember from their conversation - never something he’d done after meeting a girl. Charlie knew Kaycie was special and he still has the notes today. I guess you could say he started writing their love story from day one.
