We first met at a country concert, where we both played the role of third wheel alongside our married and engaged friends. Ben's single status was humorously pointed out by his friend JT, while Kaycie's friend, Brinlee, quickly added Kaycie's single status to the mix. We are truly lucky to have such supportive friends! Our connection started when Kaycie had to explain who Chase Rice was—the headliner and the reason for our presence, of course! We quickly realized we were meant to meet that day after singing along to the Toby Keith cover he performed, and the rest is history. We danced and sang in the rain, unaware that our lives were about to change forever!

Kaycie was organizing a surprise birthday dinner for Ben with the assistance of one of his closest friends—this should have raised a red flag for her from the beginning. She felt immense stress trying to gather 20 of his nearest friends in one location to celebrate him without giving away the surprise. However, it turned out that Ben had been in on the secret the entire time and was planning his own surprise for Kaycie—the ultimate surprise!
