Arbor Day Farm
This is where we got engaged! Nick proposed on the bridge after a wine tasting and hay-rack ride to see the farm and orchard. Arbor Day Farms has a lot of great scenery, family friendly activities/trails, and yummy apples.
Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium
Nebraska has one of the top rated zoos and I made sure to show Nick all it has to offer when he first arrived to Nebraska. We both really enjoy Kingdom Of The Night (under the Desert Dome) and the jungle exhibit.
Vala's Pumpkin Patch & Apple Orchard
We love fall! Everything from Pumpkin Spice, to decorating our place with fall decor, and visiting the pumpkin patch. Have a glass of the Pineapple Love hard cider and one of their delicious pies while checking out all the family friendly activities this place has to offer! You will definitely want to spend the whole day here with all they have to offer.
Blue Sushi at The Old Market
Kaycee's love for Sushi started here and Nick loves the Mango Crab Rangoons. Kaycee recommends the Tidal Wave and Tuna Tower. The old market is a great place to walk around as well and has a fantastic atmosphere with lots to do.
Omaha Tap House - Pepperwood
Get a little weird and try Nick's favorite Berry Hangover Burger and Kaycee's favorite Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Burger (hey don't knock it until you try it). Don't Forget to get the Cheese curds; you won't be disappointed! They also have a location in Downtown Omaha (The Old Market).
Hollywood Candy
This candy store in Downtown Omaha (The Old Market) is more than meets the eye. It has a profuse variety of candy that will take you back to your childhood. Along with all the candy, they have old collectables, a small private movie theater that can be rented out, as well as a small diner.
The Durham Museum
Get your History on at The Durham Museum! Come learn about the Western Union Station and do a walk-through of older trains that used to run through Nebraska!
Omaha Children's Museum
Omaha has a fantastic Children's Museum! We highly recommend bringing your little ones here to explore.
Eugene T. Mahoney State Park
Nick enjoys being in nature and has helped me enjoy it a little more. We have been going on a lot of hikes over the last year and have really enjoyed the time spent together as well as the views. Mahoney also has lots of kid friendly options and camping spots.
Lauritzen Gardens
Lauritzen Garden's is a beautiful botanical garden to enjoy all the greenery and flowers.
Runza Restaurant
Runza is a fast food place that originated in Nebraska. Kaycee enjoys the cheese Runza when she is back home visiting.
Scooter's Coffee
Kaycee loves to get their Peanut Butter Power and Strawberry Banana Smoothie as well as there seasonal coffee drinks!
Blackstone
Black Stone is a newer part of Omaha that has fantastic breweries, shops, and restaurants. Be sure to try some sour beers for Kaycee.
Beercade in Benson
Benson is a great area to bar hop for those beer lovers.
Spielbound Board Game Cafe
Let your inner nerd come out at Spielbound with their abundant variety of board and table top games. Just don't rage as hard as Nick does.
