Point San Luis Lighthouse is a hidden gem of the Central Coast with breathtaking views. Tours are every Wednesday at 12:00 Noon and 1:00 PM and on Saturdays at 11:00 AM and 12:00 Noon. Reservations have to be made in advance to see the lighthouse.
The Pecho Coast Trail is located on the south end of the PG&E property and accessed through Avila Beach. Choose from two guided hikes, the 3.75-mile roundtrip hike to Point San Luis Lighthouse and the 8-mile roundtrip hike to Rattlesnake Canyon. This hike requires you to make reservations in advance as well.
The Avila Beach Golf Resort is the most well-known of the Central Coast Golf Courses. Nestled in the surrounding hills and on the edge of the bay, the resort includes a par-72, 6,500-yard championship course. It would be a great time to grab a round of golf earlier in the weekend prior to the wedding on Saturday!

The Bob Jones Trail is the City to the Sea bike trail that follows the Pacific Coast Railroad right-of-way along the San Luis Obispo Creek to Avila Beach. Starts at the parking lot right off the 101 freeway by Avila Hot Springs Resort and ends near the beach in downtown Avila. This trail is great for walking, jogging, skating, biking, etc. The trail offers so much to look at, filled with nature and activity all around. There is a cute restaurant on the trail, which offers great food and wine.
A local family-owned winery known for their award-winning wines, their beautiful creek side views, and being both family and dog friendly. The trip is camera worthy as there are 130+ peacocks that roam the property and love to eat out of your hand!
The Central Coast Aquarium is a small, non-profit aquarium in Avila Beach. It is home to a variety of marine life, including sharks, rays, sea turtles, and fish. The aquarium offers educational programs and exhibits and is a great place to learn about the marine life of the Central Coast.
