WEDDING POSTPONED

We both attended Maunawili Elementary school, so the very first time we met happened to be in our third grade classroom. However, puppy love did not spark on school campus it actually happened at a first birthday party in beautiful Kahaluu. Kawehi was invited to tag along with her childhood friend and her Ohana to a birthday Luau, and Kimo was also there with his father. All the kids were playing hide and seek outside on the grass, and when it was time to run and hide, Kawehi and her friend decided the perfect spot do so would be in the back seat of her family van...BUT...who else decide to join in on their hiding spot? You guessed it! Kimo jumped right into the van and quickly hid in the very spot that Kawehi was trying to tuck down and hide in alongside her friend. What a little punk right? Well, that little charming 7 year old Kimo pulled a smooth move and looked right up at Kawehi with a smile and said “wanna sit on my lap?” BOOM! Butterflies in our little tummies, and til this day we both remember that night as if it were yesterday!
