April 30, 2010. Kavon's church choir had to sing at a church in Oak Grove, VA. JaLil ended up coming to church with a few of his friends that day as well. At some point during the service, Kavon had to take her little cousin outside as she was getting restless in church. JaLil had to "use the restroom" but somehow ended up lost and outside with Kavon. JaLil told Kavon how nice her voice was and that her group sounded nice too. The two became Facebook friends that night. After many random run-ins and a lot of small talk, the two decided to meet up...in 2015! JaLil and Kavon decided to meet up at the Food Lion in King George. Kavon knew that JaLil was a nice person but thought a public place would be best (she watched the ID channel a lot, knew that Food Lion was always busy and they had cameras). After they talked for a while, they decided it was time to head home. Before Kavon got out of JaLil's car Kavon asked, "Am I supposed to kiss you now?" The two kissed and now, here we are.

Kavon planned a small getaway for JaLil's 31st birthday. Kavon told JaLil that they would spend the weekend in the Richmond area from September 25th to September 27th 2020. Kavon told JaLil to let his friends that lived in the area know they were coming down so they could see them. Friday night, Kavon and JaLil went to dinner with one of JaLil's friends and his wife. Saturday afternoon, on the way to lunch with another couple, JaLil surprised Kavon with a photoshoot as she complained they had never taken professional photos. After lunch Kavon and JaLil went back to the hotel to take a nap since the last outing would be at Drive Shack with a few of JaLil's friends. Before they went to Drive Shack, Kavon noticed JaLil was taking forever to get ready. Kavon is normally dressed before JaLil but this particular night he was taking FOREVER. They drove to Drive Shack, met up with JaLil's friends but there was a wait for Drive Shack. After waiting about an hour, it was time to have fun! JaLil asked Kavon to type in everyone's name that would be playing and of course, Kavon didn't know how to spell anyone's name. Kavon turned around to ask JaLil how to spell a name and there he was, on one knee, asking Kavon to be his wife.
