Kavon and Heba’s story began in June 2021, thanks to a little bit of fate! At the time, Heba was in Regina preparing for her Master of Public Health degree, while Kavon had just arrived in the city to start his first role as a Biomedical Technologist. Though they came from different places, their paths crossed in Regina, Saskatchewan, and everything changed from there. Before long, Kavon was welcomed into Heba’s family, who embraced him with open arms and quickly loved him as one of their own. In December 2022, Heba travelled by plane and train to Windsor to step into Kavon’s world, spending the holidays surrounded by his wonderfully large family, where warmth, laughter, and love filled every room. In March 2023, Kavon’s career led him to Hamilton, Ontario, while Heba remained in Regina to complete her studies. Though distance separated them, their love never wavered. They bridged the miles with patience, frequent phone calls, and visits every few months celebrating milestones and accomplishments together. In October 2023, while vacationing in Banff, surrounded by towering mountains and shimmering blue lakes, Kavon asked Heba to spend forever with him. On a quiet hiking trail overlooking Lake Louise, he got down on one knee, and in that unforgettable moment, Heba said yes! Now, after years of growth, perseverance, and countless miles traveled for one another, Kavon and Heba stand ready to begin their next chapter. On July 31, 2026, they will join their lives in marriage, and finally call the same place home.
