Open daily: Sunrise to sunset Admission: Free The sugar mill, once part of the Cruger-dePeyster Plantation, was built in the early 19th century. This 17-acre historic site contains the ruins of the coquina sugar factory raided during a war between the Seminole Indians and the United States.

Flagler Avenue Beachfront Park

Located next to one of the most popular beach access ramps in Volusia County, Flagler Avenue Beachfront Park becomes a hub activity from sunrise and into the night. Early risers enjoy coffee by the beach. Later in the day, picnickers dine under the pavilion. Amenities include a pavilion, a brick courtyard with new stainless steel railing, restrooms, showers, and off-beach parking. The park is at the east end of Flagler Avenue. Overnight parking is not permitted.
