We're getting married!

If you can believe it, our story dates back to preschool. Brandon's first memory of me is when I got a giant splinter stuck in my hand and my mom had to come and remove it. It's safe to say I've been making a lifelong impression on him! Flash forward to high school, we were friends and have a lot of memories hanging out with each other, but we were young and both heading in two different directions with college and our careers. Even still, we both kept an eye on what the other one was up to following high school. Several years later, I was living in Baltimore with no plans of ever moving back home and thought I'd always live in a big city. Brandon reached out during this time and we reconnected. I showed him around Baltimore a few times and it was so nice to catch up on life. But then I decided to become a travel nurse... Boston here I come! I ended up taking a contract in Boston for six months and flew back to Maryland for our best friends' engagement party. Brandon also showed up to that engagement party and we had the most amazing night catching up and celebrating our best friends. After I returned to Boston, we both couldn't stop thinking about each other and finally made our relationship official over Thanksgiving weekend 2021. I finished up my nursing contract and returned from Boston permanently that December and have never looked back. It has made our relationship even more special that we have known each other for such a long time and even after all these years, it has truly always been you.

This summer our families and Brandon and I went on a cruise together to New England and Canada. One of our stops was Boston and the plan was to take everyone to some of my favorite places while we were there. It was such a beautiful day with amazing weather! We were enjoying some drinks from my favorite brewery there when Brandon suggested we go walk by the water. As we were walking, he spotted this beautiful observation area that overlooked the water with yachts and boats everywhere. Next thing I knew, Brandon was down on one knee with the most beautiful ring I've ever seen. It was instant happy tears and a "YES" from me. I couldn't have imagined a better moment and our families being there was so special. It was even more special that he proposed in Boston because our relationship started while I was still living there. I always tell Brandon that Boston holds such a special place in my heart and now it forever will. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you all!
