What day should I arrive?

Answer

Our wedding is on Friday, September 18th! We’re planning a boat tour along the Nā Pali Coast with Makana Charters on the morning of Thursday, September 17. We recommend flying in by the 16th. It’s a 4.5–5 hour boat ride with sea caves, snorkeling, and cliff views. Lunch will be included. We would love for you to join! If you can, please reply ASAP so we can get a head count. We completely understand that taking extra time off and traveling so far may not be possible, just let us know what works best for you!

What airport should I fly into?

The closest and only airport is Lihue Airport, which is approximately 30-45 minutes from Princeville.

Where should we stay?

Answer

We have a recommended hotels & Airbnb's in Princeville. These are the closest to the 1 Hotel and beach where ceremony will be held. You are also welcome to stay anywhere nearby that works best for you.

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Yes! We recommend renting a car, as our events take place at different locations and transportation options may be limited.

Is transportation provided to wedding events?

Answer

Guests are responsible for their own transportation to and from the following wedding events, including: The Napali Coast Boat Tour - Thursday @8:00am *Located on other side of island, plan for a FUN early morning! Transportation to 1 Hotel before the ceremony - Friday @4:45 - Park your cars at the 1 Hotel Valet (Parking cost will be covered) We recommend planning rides in advance or renting a car for convenience.

What should I pack?

Answer

Expect warm/humid weather. We recommend bringing comfortable shoes, sunscreen, bathing suits, and anything you will want for outdoor events.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Ladies: below the knee dresses in neutral or earth tones (semi formal or formal.) Please avoid bright colors or bold patterns so everything feels cohesive. Gentlemen: Dress pants or slacks with button ups or polos. No t-shirts or shorts, please.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to Kauai’s beach permit laws, we’re unable to exceed the ceremony guest limit, so unfortunately we can’t accommodate plus ones at the wedding. That said, you are more than welcome to bring loved ones to enjoy the island with you, they just won’t be able to join for the ceremony or reception itself!

Will food and drinks be provided?

Yes! Food and drinks will be served during the wedding reception. Please let us know about any dietary restrictions when you RSVP.
