Of all the places in the country, they realized they had a common favorite--a small Italian restaurant in Chicago--La Scarola. They visited for a long time that evening, talking about both surface-level and deep topics which they connected over. They went to concerts, traveled as best they could before Covid, and became a part of one another's lives. They even visited La Scarola in Chicago for a special first anniversary dinner. Despite the Jersey attitude, East Coast independent woman persona, hard to please, pint-sized, opinionated Jewish vegetarian she is, Chris decided he couldn't live without Robyn and her two rescue pups.
