We met where all great love stories begin - a Frat party. It was the week before Thanksgiving and Lauren and her Big in Alpha Phi were ready for a "Classy Thursday" party at the Lambda Chi house next door. Thankfully for both Lauren and Dill, Clay Mead (aka the best man), was dating Lauren's Big and brought the two together that evening in the most romantic spot - the hallway of Crandall in front of the bathroom. Lauren and Dillon hit it off and the four of them walked back to Clay's apartment for an after party. It was an awkward walk home for Lauren and Dillon as Dillon was so nervous he forgot how to hold hands. Thankfully, he redeemed himself when he asked Lauren to the Lambda Chi Christmas date party and the rest is history.

There's something to say about a woman's intuition. A couple of months after looking at rings together, Lauren one day decided to ask, "Is the ring in the house?" This just happened to be the DAY BEFORE Dillon was going to pick up the ring. Luckily, Dillon is a quick thinker and convinced Lauren the ring was still a few weeks out. Originally, Dillon was going to propose closer to NYE in Park City, however, with COVID running rampant, plans had changed. Lauren and Dillon were home alone for Thanksgiving, and they had decided they wanted to go have a fancy brunch at Cavallo Point the next day. Dressed to the 9's, they drove down to Cavallo Point on a beautiful sunny day, and before brunch Dillon asked if Lauren wanted to walk around to check out the beautiful scenery. He led her down the pier, passed all of the fishermen, and back towards the car. As they got to the end of the pier, Dillon suggested they walk towards the bridge. A few minutes later, he stopped and asked her for a kiss. Since she was wearing a mask she had to take it off, and at that moment, Dillon pulled a very special box out of his left jacket pocket.
