You cannot rent a car once you arrive at the El Dorado airport! You must call the rental company in advance to set up the rental. The car will be waiting for you at the airport. Once you arrive at the El Dorado airport, speak to the Southern Airways customer service agent at the front desk and let them know you have a car rental. Give them your name and the car rental company name. They will give you your keys! Note: They will have to call you regardless of if you booked online to get more information/confirm things with you, so it's easier to just call them instead of booking online.

Cab Information
There is no Lyft/Uber in El Dorado, unfortunately. If you do not rent a car, your two options are the El Dorado Taxi (870-312-6008) or Fortugo (870-315-9441).
Flight
El Dorado Goodwin Field Airport (ELD)
This option is a bit more limited because the El Dorado airport is only accessible from a small number of other airports (DFW, Memphis, Hot Springs). However, you can now book your flight through the American Airlines website (aa.com)! If you're not flying American, you will need to book your flight through the Southern Airways website (iflysouthern.com). Also, please allow enough time between flights to get to/from the Southern Airways area (not located in the DFW airport). It's about a 10 minute shuttle. You will have to go through DFW security on your way back to your original destination because El Dorado's airport does not have TSA.
