FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be Black Tie.

Question

What is the weather like this time of year?

Answer

The average daily high in August is around 72 degrees, but can be a bit unpredictable! It tends to be warm in the sun but chilly in the shade. Please note that the weather in the mountains can shift quickly so pack accordingly, as nights tend to get chilly and there is always a possibility of a mountain rain!

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

We love your kids! However, our wedding events will be adult only. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We ask that only those named on your invitation attend, as our venue has limited space. If you have a plus one, it will be noted as "Guest" on your invitation.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

If you know whether you will be able to attend or not, we would love your RSVP as soon as possible to help us plan the best we can. We ask that your formal RSVP be sent in by June 9, 2025.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4pm, so please arrive a bit before that so that we can be sure to stay on schedule.

Question

Is there parking at the venue for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Transportation will be provided from a central location in Downtown Banff to the Fairmont, but if you prefer to drive, you may park at the Fairmont for approximately $40 a day. Taxis are also available to and from the Fairmont.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Transportation will be provided from a central location in Downtown Banff to the Fairmont.

Question

If we are making a vacation out of it, how long should we stay?

Answer

There is so much to do and see in and around Banff, so we highly recommend taking full advantage while you are here! Many of our guests will come a few days early or stay a few days after the wedding to fully experience all that Banff has to offer. There is easily enough to do to fill up an entire week. However, if you are only able to come for the weekend, you will be able to do and see plenty!

Question

What is the ideal Banff trip itinerary?

Answer

Nolan's Suggested Itinerary, curated by the planner himself: Tuesday - Check in to hotel, spend the day walking around and exploring Downtown Banff. Wednesday - Visit Lake Louise early before the crowds arrive, hike the iconic trails, then visit Lake Moraine. Thursday - Hiking, White Water Rafting or visit Canmore. Welcome party for all at 6:30 pm. Friday - Golf at Fairmont Banff Springs, visit the Fairmont Spa, or hike/bike ride to Johnston Canyon. Saturday - Grab brunch and shop around town. Wedding starts at 4 pm. Sunday - Sleep in after partying all night. Brunch for all at 11 am. Canoeing or Horseback Riding in downtown Banff. Monday - Head to airport for flight home or stay longer with us! Contact Nolan for any and all questions - he would be happy to help you plan your trip ;)
