Our Love Story

January in Utah is usually cold and gray, but that night felt different. It had only been 19 days since we met, and already something felt undeniable.
Somewhere between laughing over drinks and leaning in close just to hear each other, I caught myself thinking how impossible it felt that just weeks earlier, I had been ready to give up on dating entirely.
After our first date, I had told my friends, “I’m either going to marry this girl, or she’s going to break my heart.” Standing there with her, the second option was already fading.
In the middle of the noise and chaos, the world faded away. She pulled me close, and we swayed together, completely lost in each other.
“You can’t even see the stage,” I said.
“It doesn’t matter,” she replied. “I can still hear it.”
And she was right; nothing else mattered.
Somewhere in that moment, everything shifted. What I felt wasn’t fleeting. It was real.
Even now, we still look at each other and think… how did we get so lucky? -Written by Kim G
