We're getting hitched!

"Our story is a bit nontraditional for sure! When someone says they met online most people think of online dating sites like Tinder or Bumble. Nope, not us! We met online through a video game in February of 2021. Valorant to be exact! We started out as close online friends and would game and facetime pretty much every day after work together with our online friends. We're nerds, I know. He helped me get through a really hard time in my life and was extremely supportive, even though we had never met face-to-face. I really gave Josh a run for his money, but he was up for the chase! After months of being friends and him "jokingly" saying he was going to fly out to Texas to meet me, I finally decided to give him a chance. Our online friends were completely rooting for us, although some people thought we were absolutely crazy. Rightfully so, I still think we're a bit crazy, ha! He ended up flying from Chicago, Illinois to Austin, Texas to meet me on November 19, 2021 and asked me to be his girlfriend. Right then and there, we were inseparable. After he flew back to Chicago, he visited once more then after a few months of long distance, he moved to Austin in March of 2022. We officially got engaged on January 14, 2023. Our love story has been an incredible journey so far and we are so excited to see what the future has in store for us!" - Katy
