Katy
Bride
Katy couldn’t resist the pretty ginger on tinder! Katy is a special education teacher from Cleveland. Living in her small, one bedroom apartment at the time, she was coming up on the end of her lease just 2.5 months into our relationship. “Move in with me” Jane-L said. “Nope” Katy responded, and signed another year and a half of her lease. Eventually she gave in and they joined their lives together in Oregon, OH. Katy took on a middle school teaching position and got settled in. Katy is the Yin to Jane-L’s Yang. She’s the book loving, green thumb, uptight hippie. Always on the go with no off switch. Her favorite part about her relationship with Jane-L is how strong their communication is.
Jane-L
Bride
“You’re a lot shorter than I expected” Jane-L is a Boilermaker from Reno Beach. Growing up deep in the country life, she’s brought the fun out of Katy. Jane-L has grown up riding dirt bikes and causing mayhem. She’s always down for a good time and an adrenaline rush. Family is the most important thing to her. One of Jane-L’s favorite parts about her relationship is how strong we are together. “We’ve worked so hard to be better together.”
Carol
Mother of the Bride
Always there when you need her, Carol has been the backbone of the family since day one! Carol is Jane-L’s mother. She’s always there to help in every way. Known for her pranks, you can never tell when she’s actually serious. Carol accepted Katy from day one and made her feel like family. Her big heart is always pulling the family together for quality time. Her favorite thing about Katy and Jane-L’s relationship is “That you both make each other happy ❤️ . I love seeing my daughter happy . I love that you are happy.”
Don
Father of the Bride
The entertainment of the night! Don is Jane-L’s step father. He’s always got a story to tell and will be sure to make you laugh. Don has been a strong source of love and support throughout Jane-L and Katy’s relationship. He’s filled with entertaining stories and love in his heart! When asked what he loves most about Jane-L and Katy’s relationships he stated “You both seem to make each other happy and that makes me happy.”
Shane
Father of the Bride
Shane is Jane-L’s father. He works as a Boilermaker and is always there to encourage Jane-L to live life to the fullest! From day one Shane could see the happy changes in his daughter as he watched her relationship grow and strengthen. He reminds the family daily to always work on becoming better versions of themselves. When asked what Shane loves about Jane-L and Katy’s relationship he stated “that you guys seem happy.”
Kim
Mother of the Bride
The infamous party planner! Kim is Katy’s mother. She is a life long special education teacher and intervention specialist coach in Seville, OH. Always on the go, she can’t help but put her hands into party planning. Kim has always been at every event for Katy growing up. She supported every crazy, expensive dream she chased until she found her niche. One thing she loves about Katy and Jane-L’s relationship is that “You always make time to be with each other ❤️ no matter how crazy your life gets.”
Jay
Father of the Bride
The one who stepped up and taught me everything I know about loving your person. Jay is Katy’s dad. He stepped up to the plate to fill his roll when she was a little girl and has stayed strong in his position ever since. Jay is a retired teacher who still actively works with children on their mental health in schools. He encourages everyone to love nature and to adventure while you can. When asked what he loves most about Katy and Jane-L’s relationship, he said “I love that you take care of each other. In your relationship, you each have your own strengths and weaknesses. You both recognize that by feeding off the strengths and filling in the challenges you each bring.”
