We started talking in May of 2019 after finding each other on Tinder. We met in August of 2019 in Rome, GA. Garrett drove all the way up to Berry College from his hometown. After that weekend together, we were inseparable. We did long distance traveling from Rome to Savannah/Statesboro every couple weekends to make things work. 6 months later COVID was at its prime so we moved in together in Statesboro. Since then, our time was split between Savannah and Statesboro with Garrett being in his co-op and trying to finish school. Once he graduated in 2021, we moved into our first apartment together in Savannah, so Garrett could work at Gulfstream. Katy was in nursing school from 2022-2023 at Georgia Southern during this time. After a year, we moved into our first house that we rented for a year, which we later ended up buying in 2023. We have been sharing the home with our dogs, Obi-Wan and Sabine, ever since. We took a trip to Chattanooga in December 2024, and FINALLY got engaged on December, 8. We’re so excited to start this next chapter of our lives!
