FAQs

Question

How soon should I book travel & accommodations?

Answer

While technically not the high season, September has become VERY popular on Cape! Please book your preferred accommodations as soon as possible.

Question

Do I need a car?

Answer

Up to you! Many ride share, car services, Peter Pan bus lines, etc. from nearby airports in Boston and Providence to get on/off Cape. Most of the recommended accommodations are nearby the ceremony site and reception venues, but if you would like to explore different towns a car would be helpful! Transportation will be provided from the ceremony site to the reception site and back as parking is very limited.

Question

What about kids?

Answer

We are excited to share our special day with the entire family! Kids are welcome at the ceremony and cocktail hour. Dinner and dancing will be an event for adults and children over 8. For the younger children, we will have childcare including their own dinner, games and fun provided in a lovely separate suite at the reception venue.

Question

What to expect for Cape Cod weather?

Answer

September is a gorgeous month on the Cape with daytime temperatures averaging in the 70s and evening temperatures in the 60s. Last year the 19th was 77 degrees during the day and 64 degrees at night. Ocean breezes abound, so we recommend a sweater or light jacket in the evenings!

Question

What shoes should I wear?

Answer

The ceremony site and reception venue are historic sites with original rough hewn hardwood floors. Cocktail hour has the option for lawn games and patio sipping while the sun sets. Stilettos or more delicate shoes are not recommended.
