We met during our very first semester of college at NWACC in Drawing 101. Neither of us knew it then, but we were sketching out the start of something pretty amazing. My first thought about Eddie? “Wow, this guy has some really nice eyebrows... and he’s handsome.” Eddie’s first thought about me? That I was “pretty, social, and funny.” (Not a bad start, right?) Our first date sealed the deal. We said goodbye in the Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot, and something just clicked. From that night on, it wasn’t just dating—it was the beginning of us. Some of our favorite early memories include baking Christmas cookies (and eating well over half of them because I made so many) and Eddie’s first-ever horseback ride. (Spoiler: he survived, and it was adorable.) Fast forward a few years and… the proposal! Eddie totally surprised me on the beach in Destin, Florida. He popped the question, I was in shock, and the very first thing I said was: “You JERK!” (Romantic, I know—but hey, he caught me completely off guard!) Now, we’re looking forward to the best part yet, marriage. We’re excited to spend forever together, raising our amazing daughter, and building the life we dream about: land of our own, maybe even a farm, and a whole lot of laughter in between.
