Clay and I met in the elevator lobby on the 10th floor at our place of work. I had just returned from a year and a half stint in our Hong Kong office, and Clay had started in the M&A practice during that time. I ran into our co-worker Kyle who was headed out with Clay and began chatting. Apparently Clay made a joke, and I didn't laugh. Funny enough, this pattern hasn't changed during our four year relationship,....! LOL. About a week later, we went to a firm sponsored dinner event and Clay strategically sat next to me of all people! The journalism major in Clay led him to asking me about recently read books. We discussed a few Japanese authors, and the next day, I e-mailed Clay to ask which book he recommended most. He responded by asking me out for that very same night! We had our first date on July 20, 2016 at Capitol Pub (where we also celebrated our engagement), and the rest is history!

In light of the current health and safety restrictions, we have decided to elope! We are getting married on October 20, 2020 in Sedona, Arizona. We hope we can celebrate with you soon!
