Flight

Dublin Airpirt

Though further away, if you would like to visit Dublin you can also arrive or depart through the Dublin airport. It is a roughly 3.5-4 hour drive to our venue, though closer if you do some sightseeing on the west coast beforehand. This is a good option for those looking to use public transit, see "Other Options" below for more information regarding the train.

Flight

Shannon Airport

Shannon Airport is the closest airport to our venue, a 2 hour highway drive. It is also central to many common sights on the west coast of Ireland.

Rental Car

How to get Around?

Ireland has limited train access, so we recommend our guests rent a car while they are there. This is also the easiest and best way to see the country. Keep in mind, Ireland is fairly small and most common tourist cities are within just a couple hours drive from each other. Though carpooling is recommended, a small car is best if you will be traveling to any of the small Irish city streets we recommend visiting! We also recommend brushing up on the Irish rules of the road beforehand, as they do drive on the left side of the road.

Travel Note

Other Options

If you are not comfortable with driving, there are a few other options available: If guests fly into Dublin, there are multiple trains a day from Dublin to Killarney on Irish Rail (irishrail.ie). There are a couple direct trains a day or more where there is a short change over in Mallow, but is otherwise a roughly 3 hour trip. Trains are inexpensive and drop off just a 10 minute taxi from our venue. While a good way of getting to Killarney, much of Ireland is best seen by car so this option has its limitations. We recommend either renting a car in Killarney once arriving, or utilizing tour groups to see sites near Killarney. There are not many train lines out of Killarney to other tourist areas of Ireland. Another option to get around the country would be to hire a driver to take you and your group around. Though this is more expensive, if you are not comfortable driving on the left we recommend this as the second best option. There are many drivers for hire in Ireland who can transport you to all locations you would like to see during the week.
