The Wedding Website of Katy Monopoli and Alino Te
NOTE: access to the park from the north side of Scout Camp Road is closed. To get to the park take Scout Camp road from Kingdom Road/Town Hwy 2, do NOT take the turn directly from VT-100 to Scout Camp Road (see map above). If coming from the north along VT-100, drive south into Tyson along VT-100 and turn left onto Kingdom Road. We are so excited for you to be joining us on our special day! We knew you might have questions so tried to answer as many as we could think of below. If you have more please reach out to Alino or Katy!
Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Doors open at 12:30pm, the ceremony begins promptly at 1:00pm.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can RSVP via our website or by phone by calling or texting 860-593-1677. If you RSVP by phone, please inform us of any dietary restrictions then. Please RSVP by August 10th, 2024.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is dressy casual: theknot.com/content/what-to-wear-dressy-casual The ceremony will be on grass, and many of the paths in the park are gravel, so we recommend sandals and wedges instead of stilettos. While early September in Vermont can be quite warm, the evenings can get chilly so we recommend bringing a jacket.

Question

Should we be concerned about flood damage?

Answer

Maybe Our venue and the main road connecting it to VT Route 100 has been repaired fully, following the flooding last July. However, please be aware there may still be damage to local roads and driveways. The lodging we listed on the Travel page are all located on paved main roads, but if you are considering renting a home through AirBnB or VRBO be mindful that many of these homes are built on smaller dirt roads that can become difficult to navigate without AWD. We recommend speaking with the host or rental company before confirming rental home booking to ensure the roads are accessible using your vehicle. Despite the flooding damage, we are happy to support this vibrant community in recovering from this disaster and grateful for your patience as we go for wedding attempt round two!

Question

Do we have to pay to get in?

Answer

Nope! When you enter the park, please inform staff that you are a guest of the Te-Monopoli Wedding to ensure you are not charged an entry fee.

Question

Is the wedding held at a campground?

Answer

Nope! Camp Plymouth State Park provides day use areas, but no regular campsites. While there may be folks enjoying the public beach, there should not be other campers like there would be at a traditional campground. If you are looking for a traditional camping experience, Coolidge State Park is 16 minutes away and offers hot showers and lean-tos!

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held under a tent outdoors on the grass. Dinner and dancing will be indoors. We recommend bringing a jacket as Vermont evenings can get chilly.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of free parking on-site. See our Schedule page for a map showing parking options that are only a few steps away from our venue.

Question

Is the venue handicap accessible?

Answer

Yes! Our venue is fully accessible with handicap parking and accessible bathrooms. The Harwood Pavilion is all on the first floor and the paths leading to it are mixed pavement and packed gravel. Park staff are happy to assist in locating accessible parking for any guests who need it. If you have any questions regarding accessibility feel free to reach out to Alino or Katy as well!

Question

Is there running water (and flush toilets)?

Answer

Yes! Camp Plymouth State Park has all the amenities of a modern venue. The Harwood Pavilion is entirely indoors and has plumbing and electricity. This includes two flush toilets. There is also a large commercial kitchen with refrigeration and stoves that our catering will be utilizing to ensure everyone is fed and has a great time!

Question

When I get to the park, how can I find the venue?

Answer

The Harwood Pavilion is the large building to the left when you enter the park. The building is visible from the entrance and parking lot. We have included a map of the venue on the Schedule Page for your convenience, but park staff are also happy to direct you to ensure you find your way!

Question

Where is the ceremony? Where is the reception?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are at the same location, the Harwood Pavilion at Camp Plymouth State Park, 2008 Scout Camp Rd, Ludlow, VT 05149. Upon entering the park staff will provide you with directions to the venue as well as parking.

Question

Can I Uber there?

Answer

Probably not. Rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft are not reliable in rural areas of Vermont. We've listed some cab services below, but we recommend calling a few days ahead to confirm service areas and availability. Ludlow VT, Best Taxi | (802) 432-8294 Tri State Transportation | (802) 855-3130 Mountain Drivers LLC | (802) 772-5223 Timberline Transportation | (802) 345-6917

Question

What if I have a food allergy?

Answer

When RSVPing please inform us of any food allergies or dietary restrictions. If you have any questions please contact Alino or Katy so we can be sure we pass all the necessary information on to our caterer!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Ludlow is approximately a 2.5 hour drive from Boston and Worcester, so we understand most folks would prefer to stay in the area. We included a list of lodging options on our Travel page.

Question

How do I get there?

Answer

We recommend Google Maps, which gives accurate directions to our venue: Camp Plymouth State Park, 2008 Scout Camp Rd, Ludlow, VT 05149 NOTE: access to the park from the north side of Scout Camp Road is closed. To get to the park take Scout Camp road from Kingdom Road (Town Hwy 2), do NOT take the turn directly from VT-100 to Scout Camp Road (see map above). If coming from the north along VT-100, drive south into Tyson along VT-100 and turn left onto Kingdom Road (Town Hwy 2).

Question

Should we be concerned about mosquitos?

Answer

By early September it is typically cool enough in the Green Mountains for mosquitos to be less troublesome, however with several of our events outdoors we recognize mosquitos could be an issue. Our ceremony starts at 1pm which should minimize our time outdoors during dusk when mosquitoes are most active. We will have several EPA-approved allethrin diffusers in the outdoor spaces. We recommend bringing bug spray along as well. We will have a limited amount of bug spray available to share with guests if needed. The state of Vermont is monitoring mosquito-borne illness risk closely, thus far there have been no cases of EEEV or WNV-positive mosquitos near Windsor County, where our wedding venue is located.
