The Countdown... Continues!

After five (maybe - who knows?) films, many martinis, stolen chairs, and 007 trivia, Alec asked me out for a drink the next day... over Facebook messenger. We had our first two dates in the same week and bonded over our favorite books and places in NYC."

Of course, I went through all this careful planning and secrecy but then proposed the same day I actually got the ring! Our friend and Groomswoman, Sonja, was only too happy to convince Katy to meet her in Manhattan for 'drinks' and walk her past the New York Public Library, where I waited nervously for about an hour, sitting on the steps and rehearsing what I'd say over and over. I'm not sure if I actually got out the words right, and I don't think either of us really remember what we said, but neither of us will ever forget our special moment right in front of the lions and oh so many books. :)"
