FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Please wear Summer Cocktail Attire. Both the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, so you may want to wear sunglasses or hats. Ladies: You will be walking on a lawn to the ceremony, so you may want to avoid wearing thin heels that could sink into the grass. Gentlemen: As it will likely be very warm during the ceremony, please feel free to place your jacket on the back of your chair.

Question

What time should I arrive to the wedding?

Answer

Please prepare to be seated for our ceremony at 4:45 pm. Parking at the venue is free, please allow yourself enough time to drive to the location and be seated promptly so that we can stay on schedule. You can enjoy the music before our ceremony begins!

Question

Where should I sit during the ceremony?

Answer

Unless you have been told that you are sitting in the first row, please be seated in the second or third row on either side of the aisle. This is a tiny wedding so every seat will have a great view of the ceremony.

Question

Can I bring additional guests?

Answer

While we love our extended family, please refrain from bringing any additional guests that were not included on your invite. We plan to celebrate with everyone else at a later date.

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please notify Katya or Jack ASAP (no later than February 18th) if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions that we should know about to best accommodate your needs. Examples include vegetarian, gluten free, dairy allergies, etc.

Question

Where should I bring or send a gift?

Answer

Please direct any and all gifts to Susan and Joe's house for convenience ahead of our move to Minneapolis! Gifts purchased from our registry will also be directed to their place. Please refrain from bringing any gifts to Hawaii.

Question

Daylight Savings/ Hawaii Standard Time

Answer

Please be aware that there will be a significant time difference in Hawaii no matter where you are flying in from. Maui is five hours earlier than the East Coast, four hours earlier than Minnesota and Texas, three hours earlier than Arizona, and two hours earlier than California and the rest of the West Coast. Please take this into consideration when planning your flights and activities surrounding the wedding. For those flying to Maui on Sunday, March 9th, all states except Hawaii and Arizona will have their clocks "Spring Forward" by one hour at 2:00 am. Please be mindful of this as we don't want anyone to miss their flight!

Question

Regarding the Welcome Cruise, what if I get sea sick?

Answer

If you are prone to sea sickness, you may want to consider taking Meclizine (i.e. Dramamine or Bonine) and wearing anti-nausea wrist bands.
