And they fell in love...

We met in July at Freshman Cowboy Camp (Go Pokes!). The first night, we happen to be sitting in a circle (in our soon to be friend group) on the stadium football field, in timid freshman silence. Hunter soon broke the silence and proclaimed that we would all be friends and look out for each other going into Freshman year. We spent the rest of orientation together and grew close as friends. We stayed in touch until classes started in Fall.

Though we were close friends out of orientation and into freshman year, neither of us was ready to take the next step toward a relationship. Instead, we spent the next few months texting all day and finding reasons to spend more time with each other (Like helping with math homework I'm pretty sure she already had nailed haha -H) . On January 12th, 2017 we went on our first date to the one fancy restaurant in Stillwater, OK Tokyo Pot where we shared our love for food. Later that night we decided to make it "Facebook official" and from there the rest is history!

Hunter planned the proposal to happen during our first snowboarding trip together. We spent the weekend in Keystone shredding the snow and falling many times, learning a new meaning of muscle pain. One evening after getting back, we were finishing dinner when Hunter popped the question. We were officially engaged January 20th, 2023 as the sun set over the snowy mountain tops.
