Canterbury Village is a historical public park with several buildings including various local shops and cafes as well as the chapel where our ceremony will be held and the King's Court Castle where our reception will be held. On our wedding day, this park will be open to the public from 10am to 5pm so feel free to come early and take a stroll around the village before the chapel doors open at 4pm!
We would like everyone to be in cocktail attire, autumn colors encouraged! Please no white dresses or white suits. Regarding footwear, please note the pathways leading up to the venue are made of rough cobble stone, so please make preparations if needed.
As much as we love our young family and friends, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. All guests must be 18 years old or older. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
No, both the ceremony and the reception take place indoors so no need to worry about the weather! The chapel and reception hall are right next to each other as well so you will only have to brave the Michigan cold for the brief walk over.
Simply go to the RSVP section of our website, type in your name and answer the questions that follow. Please let us know whether or not you will be attending by October 10th of this year. If we do not hear from you by then, we will assume you are not coming.
Yes! Once the cocktail hour begins, the bar will be open for service. We want you to have the best time so drinks are on us, but the hangover is on you!
We ask kindly that you put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony as we want you all to be present with us in the moment. We have hired an amazing professional photographer and videographer to capture the ceremony for us. Once the ceremony is over and we have all left the chapel, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you wish!
Please visit the "Travel & Lodging" Section of this website for all hotel information
Yes! There is a separate parking lot in the back of the park reserved for wedding guests only which you will be able to use freely.
