Moving to Wisconsin brought Katy and Shane together! Katy had just finished college in Minneapolis, MN and moved back in with her parents. She was not planning on staying back in Green Bay for long as she was looking for jobs in the Pacific Northwest. Shane and a job she loved ended up keeping her in WI longer than planned. Shane moved to WI a week before his and Katy's first date. A promotion and change of scenery inspired him to move from his job in Utah to Green Bay. Their first date included dinner at Green Bay Distillery, Katy beating Shane at Skee Ball, and a a first kiss while walking in Downtown Green Bay.

Inspired by their first date, Shane took Katy to downtown Green Bay. The night included a motorcycle ride, drinks at their favorite bar, and a walk down Washington St. When they got to the spot where they had their first kiss, Shane got on one knee and popped the question. The answer was a resounding "yes".
