Our story starts with an annual Oregon State University Greek event called Sing where a sorority and fraternity are paired for four months to practice and perform at the Mom's weekend Sing event. Katy was the sing leader for her sorority and Cameron was a participant from his paired fraternity. We were drawn to each other from the beginning and developed a friendship through whole four month process. When the event ended, we went on our first date. We officially started dating only a couple weeks after that and have been together for 7 years. Cameron proposed on the Tillikum bridge during the Annual Portland Light Festival. Then, in a second surprise, had Katy's family and his parents waiting back at the apartment to celebrate! We are looking forward to what the future holds in this new chapter of our lives. We enjoy camping, hiking, running, and exploring the world together. Whether that be a new restaurant, new dish to cook, or a new city.
