While we had to postpone our original plans, we were fortunate to have a very intimate wedding in December with our immediate family, and it was truly a special experience for us. But with that said, we missed all of you, and we missed the opportunity to do what we were looking forward to most: getting our extended family and friends together to meet, spend a few days together, share some laughs, and enjoy delicious southern food and maybe a cocktail or two. We can't think of a better way to celebrate our wedding, almost a year later, than with friends and family in Charleston. While we're not having a formal wedding ceremony on Sunday, we will be doing a special dinner and celebration with Katrina in her dress, toasts and speeches, and of course, dinner, drinks, and dancing to a live band.
We completely understand if Charleston is not in your travel plans this fall. For those that can make it, we'll be making our events a bit more casual, family friendly, and flexible to accommodate new additions to your families and avoid adding additional personal expenses (tuxedos are not required!). As it may be the first trip you've taken in a while, we'll also provide recommendations for a few days before and after if you'd like to make a vacation out of it. With vaccines rolling out, cities reopening, and cases on the decline, we’re optimistic about the months and year to come. Your health and safety remains our top priority, and we will be implementing COVID safety precautions for our festivities, following state and city mandates, and holding our events at outside and open-air venues.
