We’re getting married!

How We First Met! We first met as small children, and remained close friends throughout our childhood. We grew up in the same apartment complex. Our families were always close and had the best time hanging out together. As we got older around our high school years we grew distant, but the love and friendship was always there between us and our families. We now know that dreams really do come true. We are soulmates and were made for one another. We make each other happy. We complete each other. It’s amazing that we were both always right there in each others lives, but never knew we’d one day be as one. Still can’t believe this. Always and forever true love!

As everyone knows, March 2020 was at the start of the COVID 19 pandemic, when things were just starting to shut down. Jeremy’s original plan was to propose to Katrina while they were staying in Charlestown, WV for the weekend to attend the Tracy Morgan comedy show. Due to the pandemic, the show got canceled, and the hotel shut down. Jeremy then had to come up with a plan B. He decided to bring their 3 children in on the proposal, but without Katrina knowing. On a Monday evening, Jeremy brought over the twins, Xavier and Jamia to help with the proposal. Jaden was already at home with Katrina. Jeremy handed Jamia the ring in the box, and had her ask Jaden, “Would you mind if my dad married your mom?” Jaden happily approved. Meanwhile, Jeremy went with Katrina by themelves in the room and shut the door. Xavier knocked on the door and handed Katrina a piece of paper that first said, “Do you like my dad?” “Yes, no, or maybe?” Katrina circled, yes, and then handed the paper back to Xavier. Katrina shut the door back. Xavier then knocked on the door again, and handed Katrina another piece of paper that said, “Will you marry my dad?” “Katrina circled, yes, handed the paper back to Xavier, and shut the door back. After that last question, Katrina started thinking that something was up, and began to ask Jeremy, “What are ya’ll up to?” Jamia then abruptly opened the door without knocking, and said, “Special delivery, special delivery!” She handed Jeremy the ring and he got on one knee and propsed to Katrina. Katrina happily accepted. She was so shocked and had no idea this was all happening. Katrina was so elated and filled with happiness. She couldn’t stop smiling. Jaden shed tears of joy. Jamia recorded the proposal with her phone. Of course, Katrina couldn’t wait to call her family, and Jeremy’s family to let them know of the great news. Everyone was so happy for Katrina and Jeremy. Now it’s getting so close to that Big day, and they will soon be Mr. and Mrs. McCready!
