FAQs

Question

Dress Code?

Answer

Funky, fun, and cocktail attire. This is your time to wear that weird, cool outfit that never sees the light of day. Nothing is too wild, distracting, or risqué. Nothing is off limits. Do not worry about wearing white or upstaging the bride. If you look better than me, that is my bad, not yours.

Question

Food and drink?

Answer

Before the ceremony, there will be open concessions (popcorn, candy, soda, etc.). All free. They do not sell alcohol (but won't say anything if you discreetly bring something yourself). Show up early to make sure you get a snack. Dinner will be four courses. The food will be vegan. Don't be weird, we promise you will like it. Open bar including the restaurant's full cocktail list.

Question

Vibe?

Answer

Think less-wedding, more house-party-that-your-friends-spent-an-embarrasing-amount-of money on... Ceremony Venue - The Guild Cinema is an independent movie theater in the Nob Hill neighborhood of Albuquerque. Known for showing "nudies" in the 60s and early 70s, the Guild built a reputation as an art-house cinema in the 80s. That reputation persists today. Read more about the Guild's history here: https://www.guildcinema.com/history Reception - The Artichoke Cafe is neither a cafe nor does it sell artichokes. It is a lovely, locally-owned restaurant with the best food in the city. There will be no dance floor, no DJ or band, and none of the usual trimmings of a wedding reception. Instead, we hope you chat, drink, dance between tables, play drinking games, make spontaneous speeches, take over the aux cord, and have too much fun.

Question

Want to come to New Mexico early or stay late?

Answer

Come celebrate and hang out with us! Just let us know that you are coming. We are so grateful that our loved ones are willing to spend the money, time, and vacation days to be with us. We want to reflect that gratitude by spending time with you! Ryne cannot wait to craft an itinerary of activities for our guests for the week before and/or after the wedding.

Question

I love Katrina/Ryne, but I can't make it. Is that okay?

Answer

Absolutely. Almost all of our invitees live outside of New Mexico. We have invited friends from all over the world. We know not everyone can make it. In fact, we need some people to RSVP "no." We have invited too many people, and we are really nervous about it. We appreciate you even if you cannot attend.
