We’re getting married!

We had dinner with Phillip’s family and then we all went to visit Grandpa Kilmer, who was staying at Greencroft in Goshen. Phillip, Katelyn, Karilyn, and Kevin knew that Phillip was going to propose. Grandma, Grandpa Kilmer and I were not aware of what was about to unfold! We all went to Grandpa’s room and greeted him. Katelyn passed off the carhartt vest that Phillip was going to gift me (with the ring in the pocket) in the bathroom very sneakily! Then, here comes Phillip with the vest saying, merry birthday happy Christmas, because it was a Christmas/Birthday gift. I immediately put the vest on and loved it! Phillip then tells me to check the pockets!? I could feel something heavy in one pocket! I said, what is this?! I pulled out the box, opened it, and immediately started crying! He got down on one knee and said, do you want to marry me? I said, yes! Then we hugged and we all cried happy tears! Phillip wanted to propose to me while we were with Grandpa Kilmer because Grandpa’s health was declining and he knew that Grandpa probably still wouldn’t be with us for the wedding. It was incredibly important to Phillip and I to have Grandma and Grandpa Kilmer be a part of our proposal story! Our proposal story is one that Grandpa Kilmer will live on in, forever!
