She said, yes!

We met at an Indianapolis Colts watch party. I was watching the game when Monty walked into the room greeting and hugging everyone. I was new to the Midsouth Colts Fanatic's fan club and I didn't know anyone. When he got to my table he hugged me, introduced himself, and asked if he could join me at the table. I was so taken back by his hug and the smell of his cologne, all I could do was nod my head. His presence affected me so much that I sent a text to one of my bridesmaids (Ursyla) asking her to save me, lol. In retrospect, this was one of the best days of my life (even though we lost to the Patriots). Circumstances wouldn't allow us to date right away but Monty's persistence eventually paid off and we've been inseparable every since.

I was scheduled to attend my doctoral residency in Orlando, FL on our anniversary date (11/3/17). Since we didn't want to miss our special day, Monty suggested we celebrate a day early by going to our favorite steakhouse for dinner. I remember complaining about us sitting in an empty section and Monty just laughed. Once we finished our meal, Monty got on one knee and proposed. Now I know why the section was empty, he had the entire staff in on the surprise. His proposal brought me to tears and I can't wait to become Mrs. Miller.
