Hayden and Katrina met on Bumble in January 2020. While neither one of them were expecting to find a match, they did! Shortly after communicating through calls and texts they decided to meet. Katrina was a bit guarded at their “unofficial” first date, but Hayden’s kindness shined through. In the weeks after, Hayden met Katrina’s family, and in March 2020 asked her to be his girlfriend and then…COVID. While this time was full of uncertainty for so many, Hayden and Katrina cherished the time of quarantine and spent a lot of time at parks and Katrina’s parents house. As the year went on Katrina went back to Lynchburg, VA to complete her Masters and start a new job. Hayden stayed in Richmond and continued working. While distance was hard, they made it work with tons of facetime calls and visits! In March 2021, Katrina’s family had a game night. Little did she know, Hayden had plans of his own. That night, using Scrabble, one of Katrina's favorite board games, Hayden proposed and she said YES! Hayden and Katrina are so excited to begin their lives together and for the Lord to use their marriage for His glory!
