Our dress code is a mix of cocktail, garden party, and a touch of Texas flair. This is your chance to break out the Stetsons, embrace florals, and use our wedding as your runway. We want our guests to feel polished yet comfortable, so here’s what we suggest: + Feel free to wear a cocktail dress, a flowy garden party dress, or something semi-formal. You can opt for lighter fabrics and playful prints for a garden party vibe, or go for a more elegant look with cocktail attire. + A suit or blazer with dress pants is perfect. A tie is optional but encouraged for a more formal look. You can go for lighter colors or fabrics for a garden party feel, or keep it classic with a suit and tie for a cocktail or semi-formal style. + Feel free to add Texan touches like boots, a bolo tie, or a western-inspired jacket. Whether you lean into the elegance of cocktail, the relaxed vibe of garden party, or add a Texas twist, we encourage you to have fun with your outfit. Since part of the celebration will be outdoors, keep the Texas weather in mind.
Neither of us will be changing our last names, so we will be known as Mr. Nelson and Mrs. Gibbs!
The ceremony will be held outdoors, and the reception will be held indoors. Please keep an eye on the weather and dress accordingly. Note that the ceremony will be held on grass, so tall heels aren't advised.
The weather in late March can vary, but it’s usually mild. We're hoping for a non-sweaty ceremony!
