Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Julie McMahon

Best Woman

Katrina and Julie met in graduate school, but didn't even become friends until they both landed jobs at the Syracuse newspaper. Now, Julie is Katrina's ride-or-die #1 travel companion, camping buddy and partner in crime. They have shared everything from debit cards to beds in Boston, New Jersey and Vermont, and spent many, many nights laughing (and plotting) over wine and cheese. Nervous about your future? Ask her for a one-hitter tarot reading. Trust me, she has the cards in her purse.

Mike Baker

Best Man

Mike will be playing the role of stunt man and understudy for the groom. He's a lover of party shirts, wood working and peat-y scotch, and he's the best damn Netflix salesman this side of the Mississippi. He's the best brother, the best friend and the best man anyone could have by his side.

Christine Loman

Bridesmaid

When Katrina sprained an ankle in the Adirondacks, Christine got her up and supplied the ibuprofen. When Katrina adopted a too-fat, too-sick, too-old cat, Christine befriended the furry monster. She also brought over tomato soup for Katrina when he died (R.I.P. Chunk). These two went on to share CSA vegetables, movie nights, running tips, and co-writing credits on the Ampersandman soundtrack. Christine will always be a dear friend to the bride, even from her new digs in Virginia.

Sean Coffey

Groomsman

If you meet this tall drink of water at the wedding, ask him to regale you with one of his legendary stories. Sean and Chris met at SUNY Geneseo, where they spent a year as roommates. These days, Sean is a dad, a husband an educator, a doctor and an all-around good guy.

Julie Arcuri

Bridesmaid

Katrina is so excited to call Julie her future sister. The sister of the groom lives her life with passion and creativity, whether it's running her own fashion line, revamping her New Hartford home from scratch, or raising two wonderful girls (flower girls Carmella and Giuliana). She's also by far the strongest person at this wedding, if you need anything lifted or bench-pressed.

Rocco Arcuri

Groomsman

The brother-in-law of the groom-to-be joined the Baker clan when he married Chris's sister, Julie. He's a family man who knows everyone and everything there is to know in Utica (no, seriously, ask him). Rocco speaks softly but carries a big stick and will be chief in charge of preventing wedding crashers on the special day.

Allie Healy

Bridesmaid

Alligator Allie and Hurricane Katrina have been making trouble together at countless concerts, wine nights and Red Pants Parties since 2014. This craft-beer-loving Clinton, N.Y. Capricorn is more organized than Marie Kondo, with better bangs. Find this lady at the wedding if you need Syracuse pizza recommendations or tough-but-fair tips on rearranging your closet. Long live Yanni.

Miles Basil

Groomsman

Long before Miles was a hotshot "doctor" in Nashville, he and Chris were roaming the halls of Baker High School in B'ville together trying to act cool. They met up again at SUNY Geneseo and shared a spot in Rochester after graduation. Miles has moved from Rochester to Buffalo to Boston to Tennessee but these two have stayed close the whole way (Chris got ordained last fall to marry Miles to his way-too-awesome-for-him wife). They are still trying (usually unsuccessfully) to be cool.

Courtney Coggins Baker

Bridesmaid

The groom's sister-in-law and Katrina have traveled to Chicago (to see Hamilton!), Ohio and the Bahamas together. They've boated around Conesus Lake and teamed up against the twins for many a board game night. Courtney is a wonderful mother (to flower girl Clara) and dog mom (to Parker) and has been a fountain of great advice to the bride. Katrina is so excited to call Courtney her future sister.

Nick Fedrizzi

Groomsman

You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who knows more useless trivia about "Jurassic Park" than Nick. You'd also be hard-pressed to find a more loyal, reliable friend. Nick offered a spare room in his house to Chris when he moved back to Syracuse in 2012, and Chris stuck around for three years -- a rollicking time on Tipp Hill. Today, Nick's got a lakeside retreat where he keeps busy with a million and one projects, but still makes time for his friends often.

Bridget Dunn

Bridesmaid

After meeting at a routine parade survey above a Tipp Hill bar, Bridget and Katrina's friendship would soon take them to Montreal penthouses and Michelle Obama's portrait in D.C. The world-traveling, tea-sipping Irish lass of Tipperary Hill is also the top Halloween whiz in town, and gives free consultations for punny crossover costume ideas. Her past work includes George Washington Bridge(t) and Dr. Hermione Poppins.

Dario Delkic

Groomsman

This picture should tell you pretty much everything you need to know about Dario. Always the life of the party, Dario has matured into a real grown-up in the 15 years since he and Chris first met at SUNY Geneseo.

Megan Therrien

Bridesmaid

While this wedding will feature many Bakers, only Meg is a licensed professional. (Yes, she made the cake.) From whipping up apple pies to crafting charcuterie plates in Vermont, Meg is the culinary phenom of the girl gang, and has been a loyal, sweet friend to Katrina for four years. Ask to see her impression of Dwight Schrute.

Jeff Allen

Groomsman

The former kingpin of the much-feared "Junkyard Kittens Motorcycle Gang," Jeff Allen might be Chris's most badass friend. From long hours working on a farm to late-night fires at Snoggles Lane to sharing a flat on Tipp Hill, Jeff has been one of Chris's oldest and most reliable friends. And you can all but guarantee he'll have the sharpest-looking shoes on the dance floor.

Bethany Karpowitz

Bridesmaid

Bethany and Katrina were two peas in a pod throughout high school, where they memorized Shakespearean lines, performed in school musicals, traveled to Stratford, lost sleep over Uncle Wiggily and spent every homecoming, prom and ball ditching their dates to hang out together. After 15 years of friendship, they live their lives by one code: Don't F*** With Cats.

Charlie Miller

Officiant

When Katrina met Chris in their first journalism class at SU, Professor Charlie Miller was there to teach them how to write a good story. When Chris and Katrina interviewed for jobs at The Post-Standard, future colleague Charlie Miller was there to offer career advice and take them to lunch. When Katrina and Chris landed jobs in the newsroom, Charlie Miller was there celebrate and work together for years to come. When Chris proposed to Katrina in downtown Syracuse, Charlie Miller was next door, waiting to give a toast. When Chris and Katrina asked their dear friend to marry them in a lakeside ceremony, Charlie got ordained the next day. When Katrina and Chris say their wedding vows, Charlie will introduce them to their friends and family for the first time as a married couple.
