Gates Pass offers one of the most breathtaking sites in Tucson. You can see it on a quick drive just a few minutes outside the city.
The Sonoran Desert is the only place in the world where saguaro cactus grow. Saguaro National Park has entrances on both the East and West sides of town, so pick one of them, and you can't go wrong.
If you have time for a hike while you're in town, Sabino Canyon is one of the best. If you have a full day, check out the Seven Falls hike. It's a moderate, out-and-back hike with a beautiful treat at the end.
